Migration from other platforms to Mail Pro

To migrate from other mail platforms to Mail Pro (powered by Smartermail), each user can go to Settings (via webmail interface) and then select Connectivity and Mailbox Migration.

The mailbox migration tool makes moving a user from an email provider like Microsoft 365 or Yahoo!, or from another email server like MailEnable or Open X-change, to SmarterMail incredibly easy. Depending on whether the provider allows it, Mailbox Migration can import email, contacts, calendars, tasks and notes into a MailPro account.

A pop up window will appear with different platform options to migrate from.  Select the one that you need and follow the instructions.

Migration from Google Gmail.
To get this to work, must generate an app password for your Gmail account. Then, use that app password to authenticate. 


NOTES:
  • It may take some time for your mailbox data to import. You can continue using SmarterMail during this time as the migration process happens in the background. In addition, the type of items available for migration are purely dependent upon the service you're migrating from. SmarterMail cannot migrate any item that is not allowed by the service provider.
  • Alveni is not responsible for emails, contacts, calendars, tasks and notes not transferred or for issues related to the migration from other providers to Mail Pro.  We will do our best efforts to help you during the process but since each provider and platform can have their own configuration, bugs and settings, migration may not be completely successful in all cases.
